The Aladin team is pleased to announce that several new allsky HEALPix surveys are available on our site :
- 2MASS J, H, K (JPEG or FITS tiles) + 1 colored composition
- GALEX + GALEX AIS (JPEG or FITS tiles) + 2 colored compositions
These surveys are accessible in Aladin via the menu "File => allsky => ..." or via the tab "all-sky" in the server selector.
Note : if you have not used Aladin for a while, you may need to reload survey definitions via the menu Edit => user preferences => reload.
For quick tests via the applet:
- GALEX around M31
- 2MASS milky way
The HEALPix tree hierarchies are directly accessible at : http://alasky.u-strasbg.fr/2MASS/
and http://alasky.u-strasbg.fr/GALEX/

Hi,
the "-nogui" option does not work.
Tested on:
Linux (fedora and ubuntu) jvm 1.5.x 1.6.x
windows xp jvm 1.6.x
