WP4 Objectives

This task aims at assessing the inclusion of theory data and services in the Virtual Observatory.

WP4 Description of work

• The task is tackled by the Theory Expert Group, which has yearly meetings and email discussions to establish a framework for the inclusion of Theoretical Astronomy Services in the VObs.
• The TEG organizes a Workshop

Expected results

• The final report will describe a framework for inclusion of theoretical data and services in the VObs
• Motivation of the European Theoretical astronomy community to participate in the VObs endeavour

Milestones and deliverables

• Month 8 First PCT meeting: 3&4 May, 2007 (Strasbourg)
• Month 14 Mid-term Board-PCT meeting, 4&5 October 2007, Trieste : Assessment of Cycle 1 activities and revised project plan for Cycle 2
• Month 17 EuroVO Theory Workshop (deliverable D10) POSTPONED to 8-11 April 2008
• Month 20 Third PCT meeting, 29 May 2008, Strasbourg: Assessment of activity of the first six months of Cycle 2, updated program for the next six months
• Month 26 Final Board-PCT meeting, 19&20 November 2008, Villafranca del Castillo, Madrid (Spain): Assessment of WP4 activities and of deliverable D11 in preparation of the final Board meeting
