MUSE-Wide (MUSE-Wide)
Write:<<MUSE-Wide NNNNNNNNN>>
<<MUSE-Wide ID NNNNNNNNN>> (not recognised by Simbad, but found in literature)
N: 831+777
Object:EmG  (SIMBAD class: EmissionG = Emission-line galaxy)
Note:The MUSE-Wide survey is a blind 3D survey targeting well-known and studied deep fields with extensive multiwavelength data, such as the GOODS-S/CDFS and CANDELS-COSMOS areas (http://muse-vlt.eu/science/muse-wide-survey/).
DR1 encompasses 39.5 sq. arcmin over 44 MUSE fields in the GOODS-S/CDFS observed at a depth of one hour. It represents the wide, “shallow” component to the MUSE-Deep survey carried out in the HUDF (see [IBB2017]).

The format is composed of nine digits divided into four groups of the format ABBCCCDDD, where A designates the MUSE-Wide survey area (1 stands for ECDF-S CANDELS/Deep, 2 for COSMOS CANDELS (not used in the first data release catalogue), or other numbers for future MUSE-Wide regions), BB indicates the pointing number (between 01 and 24 in the first data release), CCC refers to the per-pointing object ID, and DDD to the running ID of the strongest line.
