FK5 (Fundamental Katalog, 5th)= FK3 = FK4 = (FK 4) = FK/4
Write:<<FK5 NNNN>>
N: 5647
Object:*  (SIMBAD class: Star)
Note:Basic FK5, Revision of the FK4 catalogue.
The catalogue provides, improved mean positions and proper motions for classical fundamental stars which were already included in the FK3 and FK4 and mean positions and proper motions for new fundamental stars extending also the fundamental system to the apparent magnitude 9.5.
The assignement of numbers to stars is the same as in the FK4, the data are given in the order of right ascension for equinox and epoch J2000.0.
Among (Nos 1-905) and (Nos 1001-1670), 52 stars are no longer regarded as fundamental and are missing in the series 1-905. New: (Nos 2003-6125).
